At Sunnyside Orléans, we believe in providing reliable and transparent childcare where your child truly thrives. We maintain small child-to-educator ratios, ensuring each child receives personalized attention and a nurturing environment.
Our commitment goes beyond just care; we actively prepare children for a smooth and successful transition to their critical developmental milestones. This is achieved through an individualized curriculum tailored specifically to help each child meet their unique goals. Every activity is thoughtfully designed with a purpose, fostering skill development across various domains. Our dedicated learning centers, including literacy, math, science, sensory, arts and crafts, and blocks, provide rich opportunities for exploration and growth.
Story time comes alive at Sunnyside! We make it interactive with engaging props that encourage children to participate and even retell stories, boosting their language and cognitive skills.
To fuel all this learning and play, we provide breakfast, lunch, and two nutritious snacks daily, all homemade and carefully prepared following Canada's Food Guide.
- Quality Learning Program: Our Early-Learning-Curriculum follows "Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early year programming" which truly prepares children for kindergarten. Children are taught to enjoy, discover, and learn through engaging activities suited to their age group and level. Learning is a critical component of each day at Sunnyside. From first days of sign language, to becoming an independent kindergartener. In transition to JK, the program follows basic sign language for babies; a bilingual environment with basic French skills; a potty training program; healthy home cooked meals; development of language skills; discovering of letters, shapes, and colours; name recognition and writing techniques; fun and engaging days of classic songs and stories they will cherish forever; days being creative; engagement in learning activities at learning centers and much more.
- Daily Progress Report: Unlike any other daycare, parents feel connected with their child and not feel like they missed those treasured moments in life. They are welcomed with a creative and informative "Parent Communication Board" -which includes a summary of what their day will look like. Throughout the day, parents also get individual updates. In an effort to enhance communication between home and daycare, at the end of the day, parents get a formal "Daily Childcare Progress Report". This is done in order to assure that children are progressing through the program's milestones and getting the unique attention and care they need.
- Nutrition: Sunnyside's menu offers healthy, nutritious and delicious home cooked meals. More importantly, parents are always aware of what their child will be consuming each day. The meals and snacks we serve, contain whole food ingredients; they are high in naturally occurring nutrients and fibre; and they are low in saturated fat, sodium and added sugars. Sunnyside follows "Canada’s Food Guide", The "Child Care and Early Years Act", 2014 (CCEYA), and "Family Day’s Guidelines", to provide healthy foods that children enjoy every single time.
- Interest Learning Centers: At Sunnyside, we focus on a play-based learning environment, to allow children to do what they do best... to play. Hands-on activities are provided to let your little one explore and discover. Our Interest-Learning-Centers are designed to meet each child’s development and interests.
